About

Anna Spark is a Dutch singer, composer, songwriter, producer and mixer. Her musical journey began in childhood with singing and theater lessons in a small village in Gelderland, performing in school and village playback shows. In her teens, she took vocal lessons, sang in her schoolchoir and played in a cover band. In her high school years she started writing her own songs on guitar.

Anna began experimenting with recording and producing her music in 2016. During her 6th-form exchange year in England, she took songwriting lessons and studied drums briefly. Between 2018 and 2021, while studying film in Amsterdam/Utrecht, she wrote songs in her home studio and released her first music video in March 2021: a videoclip about loneliness, which was also her film academy final project and received top marks. In June 2022, she produced another video in collaboration with a choreographer and dancer from ArtEZ Arnhem.

In 2022, Anna started studying at the Conservatory of Utrecht, where she met the members of her band. After a year, she decided to leave as her intuitive, feeling-driven approach to music didn’t always align with the exam and theory- focused curriculum. She then released five singles, her debut EP ‘Mâr Galliti’ in early 2025 and most recently a 12-minute music film accompanying her double single ‘Past The Lake Border // Burgundy Red’. Anna Spark and her band have performed on more than 25 stages.

She is currently continuing her music production studies at MTMA Hilversum, developing her skills as an independent artist and producer. Her band mates are alumni or studying at the Conservatory of Utrecht & Amsterdam.

The Anna Spark band was formed in 2022 and consists of guitarist Nout Morssinkhof (Conservatory Amsterdam Pop) and guitarist/backing vocalist Donna van Laviere (Conservatory Utrecht Musician 3.0). In early 2024, bassist Wijnand Oudshoorn (Conservatory Utrecht Jazz & Pop) joined the team and later that year the band got their first keyboardist Stach van den Bosch (Conservatory Amsterdam Pop). Since 2025 drummer Teun Wagter (Alumni Conservatory Utrecht Jazz & Pop) has been part of the band.
