Friese Lente Magazine<\/a><\/em><\/strong> is a yearly themed magazine by Platform Popcultuur Friesland, presented in the week of the Friese Lente Festival. They organize performances, presentations, showcases and lectures with up-and-coming Frisian pop talent and unique local projects. This 2026 water-themed edition is all about motivations: what drives artists to create, perform and share their story. “Although you might think that Anna’s Frisian music appeals mainly here in the province, she actually notices a lot of interest from other regions. People in the Randstad, in particular, react enthusiastically to her Frisian songs. ‘People are curious about new sounds. They say they might not understand it literally, but they feel it.<\/em>‘”<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

They interviewed Anna Spark with her two bandmates Donna (backing vocal & 2nd guitar) and Nout (Guitarist) about the making proces of their music and what it’s like to make Frisian music. “Donna also thinks the sounds of the Frisian language suit Anna’s voice well: ‘It has more impact and comes across more intensely and emotionally.<\/em>‘”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Omrop Frysl\u00e2n<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is a big local news outlet in the Northern part of the Netherlands (Province Friesland). In the television program \u2018Noardewyn\u2019 hosted by Willem de Vries, Anna was\u00a0interviewed<\/a>\u00a0in 2024 to promote the crowdfunding campaign for her album and videoclip recordings. In 2025 Anna returned with her band to perform and film\u00a0three live songs<\/a>\u00a0broadcasted on radio and television. In October she was mentioned in an interview about the Frisian music<\/a> scene. “There is an independent women\u2019s revival happening.”, says de Vries. “Singers like Mayte and Anna Spark are keeping it alive with their Frisian lyrics.”.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

Songfestival Liet<\/em><\/strong><\/a>\u00a0is a local competition in province Friesland. Anna Spark got the second place among six other acts with Frisian numbers. With a live-show hosted by\u00a0Omrop Frysl\u00e2n<\/a><\/em>\u00a0at the big venue of\u00a0de Neushoorn<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>Leeuwarden.\u00a0The Frisian song festival Liet has been held annually since 1991. A professional jury awards the jury prize. Since 2022, this professional jury has consisted of four people, plus the public vote, which provides the fifth. In addition, a text prize has been awarded again since 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>

Pinguin Radio<\/a><\/em><\/strong> is an online platform streaming mostly alternative music. They also host a yearly showcase battle between bands to perform at Eurosonic Noorderslag in Groningen. In this article is announced that Anna Spark is one of the winners that will perform during ESNS in 2025. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

3voor12Friesland<\/em><\/strong><\/a> is a local platform of 3voor12, a Dutch pop music broadcaster from VPRO. Anna Spark was mentioned in their monthly \u2018new music from Frisian soil\u2019<\/a> with her Frisian-spoken song. \u201cWith \u2018Altyd Alles Allinnich\u2019 and the singer\u2019s other Frisian-language singles that will follow, Anna Spark wants to draw attention to the Frisian language again\u201d.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In their rubric Musical Talent<\/em><\/a> from the winter edition of 2025 Anna Spark and Duimalot were interviewed by editor and journalist Maurice Hengeveld. \u201cAnna\u2019s songs, like She Blooms and Dreamer, tell stories about resilience, dreams and finding yourself again. With her latest EP M\u00e2r Galliti she proves once again how she continues to develop as an artist.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

3voor12 Gelderland<\/a><\/em><\/strong> is a is a local platform of 3voor12, a Dutch pop music broadcaster from VPRO. They have shared the release of \u2018She Blooms\u2019<\/a> and \u2018Altyd Alles Allinnich\u2019<\/a> on their page, which were added to the \u2018Nieuwe Gelderse Releases\u2019 playlist.  \u201cShe Blooms is about a young woman who reinvents and loves herself from the dark. For the soon to be released video of \u2018She Blooms\u2019, Anna collaborated with a choreographer and dancer from ArtEz in Arnhem who came up with an emotional dance.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gorssel.nl<\/a> <\/strong><\/em>is a Dutch local news website which posted an article about Anna\u2019s debut single \u2018Trapped\u2019 and later on for \u2018She Blooms\u2019. \u201cLoneliness is a theme that has been a struggle for me for a few years now. During the making process of \u2018Trapped\u2019 I was able to challenge myself in these \u2018boring\u2019 times of the pandemic. In the videoclip I\u2019ve portrayed the feeling of loneliness with symbolism and metaphors, from my own personal experience.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Join-Us<\/a><\/em> <\/strong>is a Dutch foundation that tackles loneliness among young people that did a short interview published on Facebook and Instagram. \u201cDuring the creative process of making Trapped, I came into contact with a lot of new people. It was all very nerve-racking.
